Vatli Dal #sikandalouscuisine Recipe credits Anuja Pradhan‎

Chandraseniya Kayastha Prabhu' or CKP is the name of a sub caste of the Kshatriyas in Maharashtra. This fingerlicking good recipe was shared by Anuja Pradhan .This  is a  ckp and brahmin speciality of maharashtrians .

2 Cups Chana Dal - Soaked for 8 hours.
1 Raw Mango Grated.
Green Chillies To Taste .
1" Ginger.
3-4 Tablespoons Coriander Greens
Sugar To Taste - I didnt add.
For Tempering 1
 Heaped Teaspoon Mustard Seed.
A Generous Pinch of Hing.
A Few Dry Red Chilies.

Coarsely grind strained soaked chana dal in mixie with 5 to 6 green chillies and ginger. Here ginger is not just used to enhance taste , but also it helps the stomach to help digest the raw dal.Then add salt ,sugar and grated raw mango.
Take oil generously and when hot add mustard seeds , red chilies and hing . When mustard seeds stop spluttering pour this over the ground mixture , blend the tarke well , adjust flavors and lastly add coriander greens.
