Vadapappu panakam are offered to Lord Rama on his birthday.
Vadapappu in it's savory form is a simple uncooked preparation of Moong Dal , coconut , raw mango and is delicious.Here is the recipe by Shri Hari Chandana.
1/2 cup Split Moong Dal
1 1/2 tbsp Chopped Raw Mango
1 tbsp Grated Fresh Coconut
1 Green Chilli, finely chopped
Salt to taste
Soak the moong dal in water for 30 - 40 minutes and drain water.
Add the chopped raw mango, chilli, coconut, coriander leaves and salt to it and mix everything. Enjoy !

1 Cup Grated Jaggery
5-7 Roasted and Crushed Black Peppercorns.
1/2 Teaspoon Dry Ginger Powder.
2 Crushed Green Cardamom.
Add cardamom powder, crushed black pepper and dry ginger powder and mix. Pour into glasses and serve. I adjusted sweet and increased ginger to a teaspoon. It was delicious and refreshing .
