1/2 Kg Prawns ( 14 Pieces - retain the tails )
4-5 Tomatoes ( Pureed With 1 -2 Green Chilies )
1 Tablespoon Chopped Garlic.
Dried Red Chilies
1/3d - 1/2 Teaspoon Freshly Ground Rai Seeds
1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice
1 Teaspoon Sugar
In a wok heat up 2 tablespoon oil add the dried red chilies , once they begin to change color add chopped garlic , cook 1 minute till garlic gets soft , not allowing it to color , then add the pureed tomatoes , sugar and salt .Cook covered 4-5 minutes till oil separates .Add prawns , sprinkle rai powder and lemon juice and stir fry over medium high heat for 3-4 minutes till prawns are done .
This is a dry dish , quick and easy to make , a great finger food .You may avoid the rai powder if you wish to although it adds a very special ' zing ' to the flavor of the prawns !
