Kala Gosht

Kala Gosht

I Kg Mutton
3+1 Large Onion.
Dry roast the ingredients listed below , cool and grind to a powder.
5-7 Green Cardamon.
10 Cloves.
20 Black Pepper.
3" Stick Cinnamon.
1 Teaspoon Zeera.
2 Black Cardamon.
1 Tablespoon Whole Coriander Seeds.
1 Teaspoon Chili Powder.
1 Tablespoons Garlic Paste.
1 Tablespoon Ginger Paste.
10 Dried Red Chilies
8-10 Tablespoon Curd ( depending upon sourness )
200 Ml Ghee/Oil

Chop 3 onions and fry till dark brown , remove retaining the oil , cool and grind to a paste . Set aside.
Cut 1 onion length wise , fry till brown , then add the mutton and over high heat bhuno till half done adding a bit of curd/water . When half done add the onion paste along with the garlic and ginger paste and the ground masala powder and the curd - cook covered over low heat for another 20 minutes or so till the mutton is done and oil separates.
This dish is dark in color and has almost no gravy .
