Nepali Makai / Corn ( Recipe 1 )

Makai ( Recipe 1 )
Another gem from Nepal .

3 Milky Soft Corn On The Cob.
With a sharp knife strip the corn off the cob. Next mix corn kernels into the paste of :

1/2 Teaspoon Garlic paste.
1 Teaspoon Ginger paste.
1/5th Teaspoon Haldi Powder.
1 Teaspoon Red Chili Powder.
1/4th Teaspoon Timur paste ( OPTIONAL )
Juice Of 1 Lemon.
1 Teaspoon Mustard Oil

mix well and allow the dish to sit for about 30 minutes for the flavors to develop .

Lastly temper with :
120 Ml Mustard Oil
1/5th Teaspoon Methe Seeds.
5-7 Whole Green Chilies ( with slits )

Heat oil , when it smokes add the methe seeds , as the color changes add the green chilies , they will begin to discolor within seconds .Take off the fire and stir into the marinating corn .Don't heat the dish ! Serve at room temperature .
