500 Grams Moong Dal
1 Coconut .
15 Green Chilies.
10 Cloves Garlic.
1 Teaspoon Jeera ( Bhuna ).
5-6 Shallots - Chopped.
3-5 Dried Red Chilies.
1/2 Teaspoon Mustard seeds.
Soak dal , and give one pressure with salt and haldi.Take of flame.
Grind together to paste- coconut , green chilies , jeera , garlic . Add to boiled Moong Dal.
In ghee splutter mustard seeds , add curry leaves and dried red chilies .. then add shallots , Saute till they change color .
Add to dal , cook daal some more - 5-7 minutes to blend flavors and serve with rice.
Make it as pungent as you like . It's a delicious blend of coconut and chilies .
