Hirva Jhinga ( green Prawns )

Hirva Jhinga


1 Kg Prawns , Shelled & Cleaned .

The Masaala :
4-6 Green Chillies.
1/2 Cup Chopped Coriander ( leaves and stem )
10 Curry Putta Leaves.
4-6 Cloves Garlic.
1/2 Coconut Grated .
Salt
Make a paste of the above .

To be used later :
Juice Of 1 Lemon.
1/3 Cup Coconut Milk ( optional )
2-3 Roasted Red Chillies ( Garnish )
1 Onion Chopped.

Take one onion chopped small , Saute in sesame oil , add masaala , saute till oil separates . Now add the prawns cook in the masaala for 5 -7 minutes , the prawns should now be ready . Add lemon juice .Adjust flavors .When serving spoon the coconut milk .This is a dry preparation .

I have used Bhindi / Lady Finger a favorite combination in Goa with prawns . If using , saute the bhindis separately ( whole stems trimmed ) , set aside , cook your prawns and then while warming to serve add them to the prawns - that way the bhjindi too gets the masaala .
