Cheese and Onion Bread .

Cheese and Onion Bread .

1 Large Onion chopped finely which you fry in 2 tablespoons olive oil until a bit more than golden brown.

The Dough


1 1/2 Cups Warm Water .
1 Teaspoon Mustard Paste .
1 teaspoon Paprika / lal Mirchi .
1/2 Teaspoon Salt .
1/2 Teaspoon Turmeric / Haldi Powder .
3 Cups Flour / maida .
1 Packet ( 2 1/2 teaspoons ) Dry Yeast .
1/2 Cup Grated Cheese - A mildly sharp one like Cheddar .

Kneed all the ingredients including onions for a good 10 - 15 minutes or use the dough cycle in the machine .
Place the dough covered in an oiled bowl in a warm oven ( 25C ) to rise - about 45 minutes .
Next place the dough in a baking dish - 8 X 4 " - pull into shape and leave to rise again for another 45 minutes .
When risen , sprinkle 3-4 tablespoons of grated Cheddar on top of the loaf .
Heat oven to 175-180C , bake for 40 minutes .
This is an amazingly moist bread .
